There are sure a lot of big hills to climb in Alberta and some of the best places to walk your humans. The air is very clean and fresh – you can smell everything! The mountains are so high up there, I have to lay on my back just to see the tops… and even though everything is so awesome, there is something magical about Lake Louise. Read more…

Things around here sure are exciting lately. The house is nearly empty and my humans were very nice about leaving my favourite window seat in tact right until the very last minute. In fact, the chair stayed so long that I really thought it was going west with us! I was tricked…
On the very last day, as my dad was closing up the house, the chair went to the big trash compactor in the sky.
Sure… the chair was old, thread bare and smelly but it smelled like me and I kinda like that smell.
I am really going to miss that ole chair – we spent many days sitting in the front window waiting for my humans to come home and watching the Byron world go by…
The second photo is me and my cousin Gracie (she is a black labrador and like my sister Sunnie, she is a diva in training… girls!) but I love her and for some reason, she seems to think my special chair belongs to her too…
Let’s hope the next place has a new chair for me!

Hi… my name is Bogie and I am a Golden Retriever.
My birthday is May 18th and in 2009, I will turn 4. Right now I am still 3 and a half and I often still get away with “puppy stuff” but I think my reign of terror is coming to a close because we are about to take off on a journey across Canada to a new home on the western coast (my humans keep telling me I will like it there – lots of trees, water and dogs!)
I have bad hair days everyday because I have an “extraordinary curly coat” as my mommy puts it, but really it is just because I am a descendant of the English Golden Retriever and because of this, still have the more traditional old school water coat. Whatever it is, I always look like I just rolled out of bed(which is probably the truth in most cases)…
Currently, I live in London, ON with my family – my sister Sunnie (the most stunning female golden retriever in the whole world and a total diva) and my humans called mommy and daddy, or Tracey and Steve as other humans call them, although I have no idea why… the only other humans who seem to get their names right are my special human siblings Neal, Matthew, Stephanie and Robyn. More about them later…
Early in life I developed a habit (bad some say) of wanting to meet everyone that I come across… people and puppies alike… even the odd horse! Much to the chagrin of some, I use my NOSE to get to know everyone I meet. I like to get up close and personal and get a good whiff… Rest assured, my intentions are innocent and the good thing is that once I sniff you once – I will remember you forever so if I take the time to smell you out, we are lifelong friends…
In the photo are me (front and centre
), my human mommy, human sister Robyn and my golden sister Sunnie… this was taken at my human dad’s 50th birthday party which was a Hawaiian Luau. I got lei’d that day!
